Civil Engineering

If you want to pursue a career in the construction industry, then civil engineering is best for you. Civil engineering careers are both rewarding and challenging. They are concerned with the design, construction and management of the environment which can involve projects for road, bridges, drilling, houses and responding to natural disasters. To be successful in this field, you need to have a good knowledge of design and construction methods, and must have the ability to collaborate with others as a team, since you will also need to collaborate with other professionals such as architects, and others, in the execution of a project.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is concerned with the researching, designing and testing new technology and electrical systems in products/buildings. They often overlap with other areas of engineering and career options range from construction to communications and media, healthcare, and more.

Aeronautical Engineering

Aeronautical engineers apply scientific technological and mathematical principles to research, design, maintain and test the performance of civil and military aircrafts and space vehicles, satellites and missiles.

Chemical Engineering

This field of engineering examine and design the processes used to produce everyday products such as food, plastics and fuel from raw materials. The professionals could work in industries such as food industry, mineral extractions and processing industry, petrochemicals, wastewater management.

Metallurgical/Material Engineering

Metallurgical engineering is concerned with the application of science in the production of metals for use in consumer or engineering products. This involves the production of alloys, the shaping, the heat treatment and the surface treatment of the products. A metallurgist aims at achieving balance between material properties such as cost, weight, strength, toughness, hardness, corrosion, fatigue resistance, and performance in temperature extremes.

Computer Engineering

Computer engineers integrate several fields of computer science, electrical/electronics engineering to develop computer software and hardware. This field of engineering focuses on both how computer systems work and how they integrate into the larger picture.

Agricultural Engineering

Concerned with the design, construction and improvement of farming equipment and machinery, agricultural engineers typically integrate technology with farming.

Marine Engineering: deals with the design, development,, production and maintenance of the equipment used at sea and onboard sea vessels like boats, ships, etc.
