Of the 2,668 billionaires on this year’s billionaire list, almost a quarter of them live in just 10 places. New York City is home to more rich people than any other city in the world, according to a new report. The city is home to over 107 billionaires with a combined wealth of over $640 billion. China has more cities in the top 10 than any other country, beating out the U.S., which is the runner-up with New York City and San Francisco.  Beijing has 83 billionaires, and Hong Kong is in third place with 68 billionaires, completing the top three list. According to the report, Seoul, the South Korean capital, rounds off the list of the top 10 cities with the highest number of billionaires.

New York is the financial capital of the US and houses more billionaires in the world than any other city.  Based on a recent report, the city is home to some renowned billionaires like Josh Kushner and Ramzi Musallam. However, Michael Bloomberg remains the richest resident of the 107 billionaires living in the city, accounting for about 13% of the city’s total billionaire wealth. The combined wealth of the billionaires in NYC is in excess of $640 billion.

2. Beijing

With 83 billionaire residents in the city, Beijing claims the second spot as the second richest city in the world. Zhang Yiming, founder of TikTok is the richest billionaire living in the city. Beijing is the capital of the People’s Republic of China.

It houses the largest number of Fortune Global 500 companies in the world. The combined wealth of the 83 billionaires in Beijing is $310 billion, according to the report.

With the combined wealth of the 80 billionaires residing in the city being $304.6 billion, Hong Kong is one of the wealthiest cities in the world. The richest billionaire living in the city is Lee Shau Kee, with a net worth of $30.8 billion, according to Forbes.

4. Mumbai

The Indian metropolis is one of the richest cities in the world, with 72 billionaires having a combined wealth of $301.3 billion. The city’s richest resident is Mukesh Ambani, who accounts for more than 30% of the collective net worth of Mumbai’s billionaires. Another notable billionaire in the city is Falguni Nayar.

The number of billionaires in Shanghai is 68, making it one of the richest cities in the world. Xu Yi and Chen Rui, executives at Chinese media giant Bilibili, and Liu Yongxing, chairman of agriculture and chemicals firm East Hope Group, are among the Shanghai-based billionaires.

The city is renowned for its Lujiazui skyline, museums, and historic buildings, including the City God Temple, Yu Garden, and buildings along the Bund. Shanghai is also known for its sugary cuisine, distinctive local language, and vibrant international flair.

There were a record 177 billionaires in Britain, with a number of recognizable names appearing on the list. Vlad Yatsenko, the chief technology officer of digital banking giant Revolut, and Denis Sverdlow, who founded the British electronic vehicle manufacturer Arrival are other new billionaires who live in London.

Vladimir Potanin, president of metals giant Norilsk Nickel and its biggest shareholder, is the richest person in Russia. Leonid Mikhelson is No. 2 with an estimated net worth of $21.4 billion, followed by Alexey Mordashov ($21.3 billion), Andrey Melnichenko ($19.7 billion) Alisher Usmanov ($17.9 billion), and Viktor Vekselberg ($16 billion) ranked 6th with a personal wealth of $16 billion. Suleiman Kerimov ($11.2 billion) occupied the 9th position on the top 10 richest people in Russia’s list.
